This represents Gatsby throughout this chapter because it shows how Gatsby has turned into a completely different person this chapter. he stops throwing his crazy parties every saturday, because of his love for Daisy. He was mostly known from his parties that he used to have, and now since he's fallen in love with Daisy he doesn't care about having parties anymore.
